We are happy to announce the student of the month for October!
We are thrilled to announce that Amanda Babineau has been selected as the Student of the Month for October!
A
little about Amanda:
Amanda
is originally from New Hampshire, where all her family still lives. Amanda and her boyfriend recently moved to
the DC areas a few years ago to advance their careers. Amanda is the Director of Social Work at a
Retirement Community. Amanda has been part of the Social Work field
for about 13 years now and sees herself “retiring” in 5-7 years and baking for
the rest of her life!
Amanda
is very passionate about living a well-balanced life. Relationships are very
important to her so she strives to have meaningful, supportive, fun and
trustworthy connections with others.
Amanda
enjoys many things in life. She plays the guitar and sings country music. She
also enjoys cooking, baking, wine, travel, scrapbooking and stamping homemade
cards. She has played soccer her entire
life and has a part-time Cake Business that she runs out of her own home!
Amanda
started practicing yoga when she was in college. Yoga has brought mindfulness
and meditation into her life. She has always been athletic, so her body has
seen many complications that have
developed over the years. Yoga is
healing those complications and helping her become the fittest she has ever
been!
“I
have to take time to myself every day and do something I am passionate about.
If I do not, I feel lost!”
