We are happy to announce the student of the month for December!
We are thrilled to announce that Linda Egentowich has been selected as the Student of the Month for December!
A
little about Linda:
Linda
was born in Japan to an Army Dad and Japanese Mother. She considers NC home as that is where her
parents settled. Linda served 28 years
in the Air Force and married John, who also served in the Air Force and
currently works in Federal Aviation Administration. Currently, Linda is the Chief Operating
Officer for Air Force Society (the official charity of the US Air Force and a
private, non-profit organization supporting the Air Force).
Initially
Linda signed up for yoga to get some exercise, lose some weight, get toned and
take proactive measures against issues that affect older people such as
stiffness, lack of flexibility and balance.
In the process, she got hooked on the “me” time when she was in the
studio. Linda constantly finds herself
on the move and she appreciates that yoga makes her stop to take time out for
herself and recharge her batteries.
By
committing to yoga, Linda has noticed improved strength and flexibility and she
continues to focus on improving her balance.
She has also benefited from learning to disconnect from the outside
world and connect with her body. Spending
time on her mat allows her to cultivate a place in her head where she can
retreat when things in her life get crazy.
By connecting with herself mentally and improving her physical strength,
Linda finds that her time on her mat continues to help her daily and just makes
her a nicer, better person!
Linda
is inspired and motived by the instructors at MYBO. She is part of the 6 am
group and appreciates that Todd, Sonia and Neen are there to push her to discover
her mind, body and breath connections.
“Just do it! It’s tough/demanding as you
want it to be—you’re in control—but just get out there and move. If you’re
not moving, you’re dead! Don’t let
intimidation/fear stand in the way of discovering your physical and mental
potential/capabilities and your bliss.”
