Interested in a juice cleanse? Read about what you might experience!

There is no doubt that you have heard the term "juice cleanse".  People looking to detox and fill their body full of good nutrients are turning to juice cleanses where they drink JUST juice for a set amount of time. There are many benefits to doing a juice cleanse include increased energy, weight loss and preventing inflammatory diseases.

Mind Your Body Oasis has partnered with Postmodern Food to bring you a 3-day juice cleanse. This includes 6 juices a day, for a total of 18 juices!
If you order by Saturday, August 31st, you will only pay $199 for all 3 days!!

We asked a Mind Your Body Oasis student and juicer to document her experience taking part in the 3 day Postmodern Food cleanse.

Meet Blair and read on about her journey through her 3 day juice cleanse.

Day 1:
I started the cleanse late in the day yesterday after not feeling very well in the morning.  Which is fine for me! When it comes to cleansing, clean eating, or health in general, a big part of me figures that it is best not to upset our natural penchant for patterns or regularity. Because when we expect complete routine and get interruptions, we are less equipped to handle it.  So for me, at least, it helps things stick.
At any rate, starting the cleanse at an odd time seemed apropos.

My last meal was an amazing chicken curry at a food truck.  No judging, I will always make the last the best.
And then.  Juice.  My first and most amazing observation from last evening, after having tried the squash and greens juice to ease into it, was the remarkable lack of hunger.  I couldn't put my finger on exactly why I did not feel hungry, and attributed it in no small part to what was, at least, a substantial lunch.
But even this morning, my full "day 1" or "second 1/2," no hunger pains!  Nothing more remarkable than a desire to dive into the paleo muffins I pulled together for my honey the other day.
So.  An official review.  In a word, you might never expect this but...YUM. (and thank god because I will be consuming nothing but these for 3 days!)

The Greens smoothie.  Refreshing.  Vibrant.  Almost savory.  I consider it a meal.  And the squash, a treat.  Just a tremendously clean drink, one that you might want to use to regenerate after a yoga class or workout.
The only juice I have struggle with thus far is the lemonade.  Postmodern Fashioned it after the popular "lemonade cleanse," using maple syrup and cayenne.  Well, let's get one thing straight.  Cayenne is spicy.  Lemon is Tangy.  So altogether...a little more of a challenge.  I will call this my challenge drink every day.
But last night I  finished off with the Cashew Milk.  Loaded with healthy Omega 3's and 6's from cashew, plus a dash of maple syrup.  Cashew Milk is dessert in a bottle.  Nothing short of amazing.

Now, to be clear, at this point I am still lusting after the Cherry Plout Bruschetta Postmodern whips up for MYBO (and I buy out) every week.  But first impressions: this juicing thing is a piece of cake.  Fortunately these juices are amazing!

More to come tomorrow, we'll see where we are at by then!
