Marya
Marya is a fertility and prenatal massage therapist and reflexologist who specializes in promoting whole body wellness prior to and during pregnancy. Massage can be a useful health tool during this time and has been shown to have a lot of benefits for expectant mothers. Common complaints such as nausea, fatigue, headaches, back and leg pain, and cramping can be significantly relieved by including massage therapy into your pregnancy self-care.
Prenatal massage uses a combination of calming Swedish massage, deep tissue work, gentle range of motion and stretching, lymph drainage, reflexology and abdominal massage. Since the body is constantly changing throughout pregnancy, each session is completely customized to what the mother needs or wants. Pregnancy massage therapists are trained in precautions/contraindications and will refer to the mother’s healthcare provider whenever necessary.
