We are happy to announce the student of month for September!
We are thrilled to announce that Alicia Kuhnke has been selected as the Student of the Month for September!
A
little about Alicia:
Alicia
was born and raised in Illinois but has
lived in Missouri, West Virginia, California, and the DC metro area. She is a
government employee and finds her mission of serving her country every day to
be very rewarding. Her hobbies include
anything fitness, yoga and baking. Alicia bakes something at least 3 times a
week and attempts a new recipe at least once a week! She is forever on the
quest for the perfect chocolate chip cookie! Yum!
She
is passionate about animal welfare and has volunteered at many animal
shelters. Additionally, she loves to
travel, meet new people and eat!
Alicia’s
motivation to practice yoga regularly:
Alicia loves to practice yoga regularly
because of the challenge that yoga brings to her physically and mentally. She
learns something new in every class and is constantly inspired by the
teachers. Alicia also loves the sense of
community and energy of other students, many of whom have become her friends.
One of the greatest benefits she has gained from practicing yoga is more peace
of mind.
Advice
to those considering yoga:
“Forget
everything you think you know about yoga and just go. Come with an open mind
and take in the whole experience. After a few classes you will start to see and
feel the difference in your body and mind. You will be amazed at the things you
can do!”
“I
have practiced yoga at many studios and tried many different styles of yoga and
have never felt at home anywhere like I do at MYBO. Thank you for creating a
space that encourages that!”
